Environmental Services is responsible for...

• Environmental contracts, such as domestic refuse collection, street cleansing, grounds maintenance and pest control
• Community safety and anti-social behaviour
• Town Centre and Tenterden market management
• Engineering services, such as maintenance of our car parks, road closures for events, bus shelters, street nameplates and Ashford Town Centre festive lighting
• Parking services, such as parking enforcement (on and off street)
• Environmental health, which includes food safety, animal welfare, health and safety
• Licensing, which includes taxis and private hire, street trading and licences for music, dancing and alcohol
• Environmental protection, which includes noise nuisance, air quality and contaminated land
• The Ashford Monitoring Centre, which includes CCTV, intruder alarms and Telecare
