The Select List of Contractors is available to various officers within the Council. It is not a published list. The list has been set up so that its categories correspond with the programme of works within the Council's Budget. When there is a project for works below £150,000 and it falls within one of the Select List categories, contractors will be selected from the relevant list and invited to tender for works.

Contractors on the list are regularly required to provide updated information. The Council reserves the right to suspend or remove contractors names from the list, for reasons such as for poor performance or financial stability. This could also be the case should a contractor fail to submit tenders on various occasions without reasonable cause (you will appreciate such action causes unnecessary time and expense to the Council and could result in those genuinely wishing to tender being unable to do so).
