Pets and Fireworks

FireworkIf you have a pet who is afraid of fireworks several vets now offer a desensitisation programme which will gradually decrease their fear over time and make them more settled during the prolonged periods of firework activity.

Farm animals and dogs have literally been frightened to death by fireworks. Numerous startled animals have been killed or injured and been the cause of accidents. Pets become distressed which is not only bad for them but can be very worrying for their owners.

Be Neighbour Aware

If you have neighbours who have young children, are elderly or have pets let them know in advance that you plan to have fireworks.
