Planting Trees

We recognise the importance of trees in our environment, and have a policy of replacing every tree that we have to remove (this may not be in the same location).

We have a proactive approach to planting new trees and work closely with Tree Wardens throughout the Borough.  Each year we make a financial contribution to help fund tree planting projects.

Tree planting takes place in the winter months when trees are dormant.

Species are carefully selected to enhance the environment of the area and where possible we plant indigenous species. These trees provide shade and/or shelter and wildlife habitat and are an important part of our environment.
