Reporting Crime

There are a number of ways to report crimes or incidents, these are as outlined below:

Emergencies

You should dial 999 if:

  • a life is threatened
  • people are injured
  • a crime is in progress
  • when the offenders are nearby

Non urgent incidents

You should dial 101 if:

  • there is no immediate danger to life
  • the crime is not in progress and the offenders are not nearby

This number can also be used to reports incidents of anti social behaviour and to speak to your local officer.

 

Online

You can report the following minor crimes online by visiting the Kent Police Report a Crime website

  • motor vehicle crime (except stolen vehicles)
  • criminal damage
  • stolen property

 

If you are deaf or speech impaired, text 'Police' and your message to 60066

For news, advice or details of your neighbourhood officer, visit www.kent.police.uk.

In Person

Or you can visit the local Police Station and report crimes.
