Making an application
Two copies of the completed form need to be sent the council
along with the fee, one copy to Environmental Protection at the
council and a further copy to the Police Licensing Officer at
Ashford Police Station.
The fee is £21.00 for each event and you will need to complete a
separate application form for each event.
At least ten working days notice must be given, excluding the
day of the event and the day the application is received. We would
advise that you give as much notice as possible as late
applications cannot be accepted.
Only the police and environmental protection can object to a
temporary event notice. In the event that they do object, a hearing
will be arranged.
Late Notices
From 25 April 2012 Late Temporary Event Notices
can be submitted and they must be given no later than 5
working days.
The number of late notices that can be given in
any one calendar year is limited to 5 for personal licence holders
and 2 for non-personal licence holders. These count towards
the total number of temporary event notices.
If there is an objection from either the police
or environmental protection the event will not go ahead and a
counter notice will be issued.
