One of the key thinkers behind Ashford’s Shared Space concept is coming to Ashford. Ben Hamilton-Baille will be on hand to discuss the benefits of the scheme, which aims to provide a safe mix of traffic and pedestrians in areas such as Bank Street, which recently reopened to traffic.

Extra work has been carried out at Ashford’s new Singleton Environment Centre thanks to a team from Eurostar. Eurostar arranged for a team of staff from their London offices, Ashford Contact Centre, Engineering Centre, Ebsfleet Station and Brussels office, to spend a day out of the office working in the fresh air and contributing the environment in Ashford.
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) announced today that an Olympic Handover Flag will be raised at the Civic Centre in Ashford at 2pm on Sunday 24th August, to celebrate the moment when London becomes the official Olympic Games Host City.
