Core Strategy 2008

The Core Strategy sets out the overall vision and objectives for the delivery of Ashford's Local Development Framework between 2006 and 2021. The Core Strategy is the principle Development Plan Document (DPD) for the Borough and all other documents within the Local Development Framework (LDF) must conform to it.

 

The Core Strategy was adopted by the Council on the 10 July 2008.

 

Hard copies of the Adopted Core Strategy (July 2008) are available to purchase at a charge of £15 plus £2.50 for postage and packaging for local residents and £20 plus £2.50 for postage and packaging for businesses. To order copies please contact the Planning Policy Team on 01233 330229.

Examination

All Core Strategies are independently examined to make sure they are sound before they can be adopted. Ashford submitted the Boroughs Core Strategy to the Secretary of State for independent examination on 3 November 2006. Examination hearings were held between 19 June and 16 November 2007.
