Tenterden Parking Consultation
The Tenterden & St Michaels Parking Review
Consultation took place between Tuesday 23rd December 2008 and
Friday 23rd January 2009.
These proposals are aimed at tackling parking problems in a
number of locations within Tenterden & St Michaels which have
been identified as 'hotspots'. This scheme is intended to deal with
the most urgent issues while in the meantime options are explored
for the provision of an additional public town centre car
park which would allow the implementation of a more comprehensive
scheme as envisaged in the 2007 consultation proposals.
Following the completion of the consultation a
report entitled
'Tenterden & St Michaels Parking Review' was prepared
by Officers and considered by the
Joint Transportation Board at their meeting of Tuesday 3rd March
2009. The Board recommended to the Executive that the
proposals be implemented and the Executive subsequently
approved the proposals at their meeting on Thursday 26th March
2009.
