The council’s parking attendants will issue a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) when a vehicle is found parked in contravention of the Parking Regulations. Currently the cost of a PCN can be £50.00, £60.00 or £70.00 depending on where and for what it was issued.

Payment for Penalty Charge Notices must be received within 28 days from the date of issue. If payment is received within 14 days of the issue date, a reduced charge of 50% will be accepted in final settlement.

Ways to Pay

1) Online

Payment may be made online via the Online Payments webpage.

Click on “make a payment” then follow the on-screen instructions.

2) By Telephone

Credit/debit card payments may be made by telephone on 01233 331111

(Monday to Thursday between 9am and 5pm and Fridays between 9am and 4.30pm)

3) By Post

Payment may be made by crossed cheque or postal order made payable to Ashford Borough Council. Please write the Penalty Charge Notice number and your address on the reverse of the cheque/postal order. Please send your payment, together with the completed payment slip (included with the Penalty Charge Notice) to Parking Services, Ashford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Tannery Lane, Ashford, Kent, TN23 1PL.

4) In Person

Payment may be made in person at the Civic Centre in Tannery Lane , Ashford, using the scan coin machines. Please view our Opening Times webpage for more information.
