Market Stall

There are two regular markets managed by Ashford Borough Council.

Ashford Street Market

If you’re looking bargains Ashford Street Market is the place for you.

 

Nestling in the heart of the town centre you can find something for everyone all within a stone’s throw and with over two dozen stalls there’s plenty to choose from.

 

Find gifts from Grandma, nick nacks for nephews and lots more in the Lower High Street.

 

You can pick up a jumper for Dad, a handbag for Mum, the perfect tool for Grandad or jewellery for your teenage sister.

 

At Ashford Street Market you can also buy fresh fruit and vegetables, delicious fresh bread and cakes and there’s a butcher and fishmonger too.

 

Fill your home with flowers from the market’s florist, stock up on sweets from the confectionary stall and get in the mood with some music from the CD stall.

 

If you get peckish while you shop there are hot food vendors selling jacket potatoes, hot dogs delicious doughnuts and more.

 

The market operates from 8.30am to 4pm.

Tenterden High Street Market

Located in the High Street of this historic Cinque Port town the market can be found in two areas - outside the Town Hall and the Natwest Bank - and operates on Fridays only.

Farmers Markets

There are farmers markets across the borough in the villages of Egerton, Rolvenden, Warehorne, Wittersham and Wye.

How to Become a Market Trader

If you are interested in trading at either Ashford or Tenterden Market you will need to complete a Market Trading Application. You will also need a trading license or consent.  If you wish to trade at Tenterden Market you will need Street Trading Consent, if you wish to trade at Ashford Market you will need a Street Trading Licence, view our Street Trading webpage for more information.
