Bridges
The maintenance of most bridges in the Borough falls under the
jurisdiction of Kent County Council's Kent Highway Services, who
maintain them through a Bridge Management Partnership with a
company of consulting engineers.

There are however some exceptions, these include bridges on
motorways and trunk roads which are looked after by the
Highways Agency, and many railway
bridges which are owned and maintained by the rail company.
