Ashford Citizens Advice Bureau
The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) offers a free,
confidential, impartial and independent information and advice
service across a broad range of advice areas including:
- Money and debt
- Welfare benefits
- Consumer rights
- Employment
- Health and education
- Housing
- Family and personal issues
- Immigration and nationality
- Legal and taxes
The service is open to everyone regardless of race, gender,
disability, sexual orientation, age or nationality.
Ashford CAB operates from two sites
in the borough, 10 Norwood Street, Ashford and the Town Hall, High
Street, Tenterden.
Services are currently by pre-booked appointment and
telephone service only. Although the Ashford office also
operates a drop in session between 9.30am and 12pm on Mondays where
a limited 10 minute interview is offered (staff
permitting).
Current opening times are:
Ashford: 9.30am to 4pm Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday and 9.30am to 1pm Wednesday.
Tenterden: 10am to 1pm Monday, Tuesday and
Thursday.

The service we can offer is restricted by the level of the
resources available including volunteer advisers and trustees. The
majority of staff at the bureau are volunteers who receive
extensive and on going training in order to be able to advise
clients. If you would like to find out more about helping the

The more people and resources we have, the better we can provide a
service that meets the needs of the people of the Ashford
borough.
