Coroners

A coroner has a duty to investigate the circumstances of sudden, unnatural or uncertified deaths that are reported.

Mortuaries

The Mortuary handles deaths that have been referred to the Coroner or deaths where no death certificate can be issued.

 

A mortuary service is available at The William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.  For further information please refer to the East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust or the Kent County Council Coroners service.
