Community Safety We play a key role in ensuring our residents enjoy a good quality of life by reducing fear of crime and ensuring our communities are safe places.

In the following pages you can find information on a range of services offered by us and our partners, ranging from from antisocial behaviour, crime prevention, fire safety, victim support and how to report a crime.

That includes our award-winning Community Safety Unit - a partnership between the council, Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and other agencies to reduce crime, fear of crime and antisocial behaviour.

You can also find out more about CCTV and Telecare (Lifeline) the computerised alert system that provides independent living and safe working for thousands of people across the borough.

Take Our Quiz and Win Stour Centre Membership

Win a fantastic three-month membership package at The Stour Centre by taking five minutes to complete our online crime questionnaire.

The survey asks you about your experiences of crime and antisocial behaviour, ranging from vandalism and graffiti to noise and burglary.

The results are useful to the Community Safety Unit because they provide a snapshot of public perceptions of crime in the borough and highlight areas where action is needed.

By completing the questionnaire you will be entered into a free prize draw to win three months’ membership of the superb remodeled Stour Centre, which allows free access to all the great new facilities.
