The Council has reviewed and revised its Statement of Licensing
Policy as required by the Licensing Act 2003. It was agreed
by full council in February 2011.
The re-published policy sets out the principles that the Licensing
Authority will generally apply to promote the licensing objectives
when making decisions on applications for licences made under the
Act for the subsequent three years. The duty on licensing
authorities, the Council, is to promote the licensing
objectives at all times when carrying out functions under the
Act.
