Community Safety Partnership Strategy
The Government has set one Public Service Agreement
target, Making Communities Safer, and this is the key driver
for our priority actions for the Borough, which are:
- Reduce the most serious violence, including tackling serious
sexual offences and domestic violence
- Tackle the crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour issues of
greatest importance in each locality
- Reduce the harm caused by alcohol and drugs
In addition to these priority actions there are four key
objectives for the local area:
- Safer socialising in Ashford's night time economy
- Reducing the level of domestic abuse
- Reducing criminal damage, particularly vehicle crime
- Tackling anti-social behaviour
This strategy covers the period from 2008-2011 and includes a
Tactical Delivery Plan for 2008/09 which defines the objectives,
action plans and success measurement. In addition, the plan
also sets the parameters for who has overall responsibility for
delivery as well as the level of priority.
