Mapping Services
A geographical information system (GIS) is a system for
management, analysis, and display of geographic knowledge,
which can be represented using maps and geographic data.
Geographical information relating to the geography of the borough
can be found below, and through the use of maps, you can explore
the borough from your desk top.
Please note that this information is subject to Ordnance Survey
copyright and as such should not be reproduced.
Local Facilities
Search for local
facilities, such as schools, dentists and other services within
the borough.
Borough Historic Map
This historic map
gives you the opportunity to look at Ashford as it was in the late
19th Century.
Planning Information
Use this
planning information map to find Planning Applications,
Listed Buildings, Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), Conservation
Areas, Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), Areas of
Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and mobile phone mast sites.
Local Plan
This map shows the Local
Plan.
Please note that:
- These services use 'pop up windows'. Any pop
up blockers you may have installed (eg Google" pop up blocker) will
prevent these services from functioning fully.
- Google users can add the website to their
"whitelist" of permitted sites, or hold down the
CTRL key when using the site to allow pop-up
windows to open.
- Because of the volume of data used to generate these maps,
these services are best viewed using a broadband (or better)
connection.

and the information displayed should not necessarily be considered
as definitive.
