Ashford is twinned with Bad Munstereifel in Germany for over 40 years, and Fougeres in Brittany France for 21 years. Bad Munstereifel and Fougeres are also twinned.

Ashford Twinning Association's main objective is to foster friendships between these countries. Visits are arranged to the twinned towns on an annual basis and members stay with families in their own homes where they sample regional cuisine and wonderful hospitality. Reciprocal visits give members the pleasure of hosting in Ashford.

The Ashford Twinning Association arranges social events to provide interest and entertainment for members whilst raising funds to help with costs when hosting overseas visitors.
