If You Move Home

Moving home can be an exciting but stressful time. There are a lot of things to think about and plan for, including telling the council that you have moved. It is very important you inform us when you move as soon as possible. Your Council Tax payments for the financial year must be paid by the 31 March so the earlier you inform us, the sooner we will send you a bill and the more time you will have to pay it.

We need to know:

I have bought (or sold) my home

If you were the owner of your old home and/or bought your new one we need to know:

I am (or was) a tenant

If you rented your old home or are renting your new one we need to know:

If you have dealings with other council departments you should also notify them of your new address. You are obliged to inform Election Services that you have moved.
