Refund My Council Tax
If your Council Tax account is in credit, you can claim a
refund. Please do this in writing to the Revenues Service.
We will only refund your credit, if you do not owe any further
monies to the Council. For example, if you move home we will
charge you up to the day you leave. If you move to another address
in the Ashford borough, we will transfer any credit to your new
account. But if you have left the borough and you have overpaid, we
will refund your overpayment.
We currently refund overpayments by BACS transfer only,
so bank details need to be provided when contacting the
Revenues service for a refund. The following details will be
required
- Bank Account name
- Bank Sort Code
- Bank Account Number
