Refund My Council Tax
If your Council Tax account is in credit, you can claim a
refund. Please do this in writing to the Revenues Service.
We will only refund your credit, if you do not owe any further
amounts of Council Tax to the Council. For example, if you move
home we will charge you up to the day you leave. If you move to
another address in the Ashford borough, we will transfer any credit
to your new account. But if you have left the borough and you have
overpaid, we will refund your overpayment.
We currently refund overpayments by cheque but can also
refund by BACS transfer if bank details are made
available.
