Disabled People
We offer a range of services to ensure a good quality
of life and provision for disabled people living in the borough,
such as sports
opportunities, parking services and public toilets.
Our 24-hour Telecare service offers peace of mind
and independent living to thousands of elderly, disabled and
vulnerable Ashford residents every day.
Accessibility issues are overseen as part of our building
control remit to provide accessible spaces, and by working with Kent
County Council Social Services to provide specialised disabled
adaptations for council housing in the borough.
Our services are accessible to all, including our Customer Contact
Centre and this website.
Other services for people living with disabilities, such as
residential and nursing care, employment and occupational
therapy are provided by Kent County
Council.
The FundingCaring website gives
information about financing the care of elderly or disabled
relatives.
