How to Appeal Against a Housing Decision

If you have been advised that you are not eligible to join the housing register or to receive an offer of accommodation then you can make an appeal against this decision.

We operate a two stage appeal process.

Stage 1

You can request that your case is reviewed by to the Housing Operations Manager within 21 days of receiving your original notification letter.  You can do this by writing a letter which should be sent to the Civic Centre, Tannery Lane, Ashford, Kent TN23 1PL or by completing the Stage 1 Appeal Form.

Stage 2

If you are still unhappy with the decision, you can apply for a further review by the Council Appeals Committee.  You can do this by writing to the Housing Operations Manager within 21 days of receiving her decision letter or by completing the Stage 2 Appeal Form.
