Housing Plus
You can now get advice on housing, education, training,
benefits, debt and much more thanks to Ashford Borough Council's
Housing Plus service.
By working with a series of partners Housing Plus can offer
advice and help on a wide range of important issues under one roof
at the Ashford and
Tenterden Gateways.
Housing Plus can offer advice and assistance on housing
options, employment, training and volunteering opportunities plus
benefits advice through a new service
with the Kent Benefit Partnership.
A new, enhanced debt advice service is also available
from both the Ashford and Tenterden Gateways.
Drop in to the Ashford Gateway at any time
from Monday to Friday from 9.30 til 5.00 and you will be met by an
Officer on the front desk who will do his or her best to
answer your query and offer you advice. If you require more
in depth advice or information, an appointment will be made for you
to see a Housing Options Officer. We aim to offer
appointments on the same day or the following day or you can make
an appointment by calling 08458 247 202.
A Housing Plus DVD has been produced which talks about
the Housing Plus service and includes interviews from two customers
who have benefitted from the service.

Ashford Borough Council has been selected
by Communities and Local Government to act as mentors for
authorities within the South East, sharing best practice examples,
with this in mind we have developed various mentoring
materials and factsheets.
