Mentoring
As part of our role as an Enhanced Housing Options Service we
have committed to run a series of open days for other South East
Local Authorities who are interested in developing an enhanced
approach to delivering housing options. The days will provide
them with the opportunity to visit the Ashford Gateway and see for
themselves how our services operate.
The aims of the sessions will be to provide the other Local
Authorities with an insight into our initiatives and there will be
an open workshop style forum to discuss how each of the initiatives
have been developed and introduced. Factsheets containing
additional details have been developed and will be available at the
sessions.
The open days are taking place at the Ashford Gateway on the
following days:
2nd September 2010 2.00 til 4.00 pm
4th November 2.00 til 4.00 pm

Theses sessions will be facilitated by Colin Green, Housing Plus
Project Manager, Ashford Borough Council and Peter Brook,
Transformation and Partnership Manager, Gateway, KCC.
As part of our mentoring role we have produced a Housing
Plus DVD which aims to demonstrate our enhanced housing options
approach. A Gateway DVD has been
produced which aims to demonstrate the various services on offer
and how by working in partnership referral routes can be
enhanced.
