clicking on the form image).
- A plan, as up to date as possible, clearly
showing the boundary of the parcel/s in question, edged in
red. (Before submitting your request, please refer to
our guidance on 'Parcels' to ensure the request meets the
requirements).
- The correct fee.
Do you just need to UPDATE some results?
- Complete our new Form, selecting the Search Update
option.
- No need to enclose a plan; we will search on exactly the
same area as searched originally.
- Make payment for correct fee.
Payment Options:
Providing your request is valid, it doesn't matter how or when
you submit your request, as soon as we have taken payment we
can start work!
- NEW! Payment can now be taken over the

About NLIS:
The National Land Information Service (NLIS) enables solicitors
and licensed conveyancers access to a one-stop-shop for all land
and property information, including the option to submit Local
Authority Searches online.
Search requests are submitted on electronic forms to the NLIS
hub, who then forward the requests to the relevant Local
Authority.
Local Authorities can choose to participate at one of three
levels offered by NLIS; level three allowing a fully electronic
service.
We are at Level 3 of the National Land Information
Service, enabling us to receive and return Local
Land Search applications electronically to the central NLIS
hub.
In order to submit a search via NLIS, you will need to be
registered with one of the following Licensed NLIS Channel

Thames Water Property Insight (TWPI) is the
second licensed NLIS channel to provide authoritative electronic
land and property searches nationally through NLIS to solicitors
and the conveyancing community. TWPI is offering over 90 property
search products sourced directly from Land Registry, local
authorities, the Coal Authority, water companies and other
providers of land and property information and is able to offer
their customers speed, choice and a single, reliable place from
which to buy a wide range of quality searches for property
transactions across England and Wales.
