Promised efficiency changes:
NEW Payment Option:
Providing it's valid, it doesn't matter how or when you submit
your request, as soon as we have taken payment, we can start
work!
If you are booking a personal search by telephone, we can now
take payment at the same time. This will mean the Set report
forms can be emailed to us.
- NEW! Payment can now be taken over the
telephone. Please speak to a member of the team for more
information. Telephone: 01233 330284
- Cheques should be made payable to "Ashford Borough
Council"
Note: With effect from Wednesday 5
August 2009, a 1.5% charge will be made on all payments using
Credit Cards.
IMPORTANT Change in reply format:
From 1 July 2009 all tailored
report answers, when requested, will be made available on
the Portal at your Personal Search Appointment and
not sent by email.
However, at times this may not be possible for us to
achieve. If this is the case, results will be emailed to
the address provided on the form, immediately on completion.
Should you have any queries or concerns about these changes,
please do not hesitate to contact us.

Why a hard copy form?
The set report form is in the current format to ensure everyone
is able to request information in the
same way. It also provides a record of your
request for our purposes.
The proposed fees were formerly approved on 23 April 2009.
Therefore, payment will be required before we can start
work.
Further Development:
As with all our procedures, we endeavour to review and make
efficiency changes where possible for all our customers and apply
them fairly. These will be on going developments that take time to
review, develop and implement and we appreciate your patience.
We are also liaising with NLIS to establish whether this
option is possible however, discussions are ongoing.
