Supporting People

Supporting People is a programme of support offered to help vulnerable people maintain their housing independence. Support providers, such as sheltered Scheme Managers for example, will offer help and advice to people that helps make the difference in enabling them to continue living independently. The programme is funded by Kent County Council with a budget of over £30M pa. It differs from the provision of social care which is often about actually doing things for people – support encourages people to do those things they are capable of for themselves
