Grants and Funding
FUNDING & SUPPORT FOR VOLUNTARY & COMMUNITY
ORGANISATIONS
Funding Policy 2010-2013
Ashford Borough Council's new Policy for
Funding & Support of Voluntary and Community Organisations
came into effect on 1 April 2010. The Policy is the
result of extensive local consultation and we have
written to thank everyone who took the time to give us their
views.
Single Grants Gateway
The Policy will be accompanied shortly by a one-stop scheme
to be known as the Single Grants Gateway, through which all
applications from voluntary and community organisations for Ashford
Borough Council funding for the year 2011-2012 and onwards will be
made. There will be a single point of entry to the Council
for applications and an officer responsible for liaising with
applicants and acting as their point of contact throughout.
The Grants Gateway scheme will be linked to specific funding
priorities relevant to the Council's Business Plan,
and will comprise a mix of funding arrangements to allow best
fit with the project or service in question, and a proportionate
application and monitoring processes. The scheme will ensure
that we and the applicant both understand the
positive local impact and benefits of the Council's funding
and support.
Grants Gateway Applications
We are currently drafting Grants Gateway Funding Guidance
for Applicants and will be formalising the application process over
the next few months. We will be writing to all Council
funding recipients with further information in due course and
holding information sessions on the Grants Gateway for applicants
later in the year. You can email us with
specific queries although we would be grateful for your patience in
waiting for the scheme detail to become available before you
do so. We will update this page regularly.
Community Grants Fund
We envisage minimal outward changes to the Council's Community Grants
Fund and it will continue in the same format for the time
being.
