Who can apply?
Anyone who lives or works in the borough of Ashford can apply to
join the Have Your Say panel.
What does it involve?
Panel members are asked to give their views about
council services and issues affecting their local area and the
borough as a whole. The time commitment is small, we estimate 10-15
minutes per survey, 3 to 4 times a year.

will be asked to complete a short questionnaire to provide some
details so that we can ensure membership remains representative of
the borough's population.

What happens to the personal information I provide?
The details you provide will be stored securely and
protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act. The council will only
use the information you provide for the purposes of the
consultation panel.
Will my views make a difference?
The panel provides an opportunity for people to air
their views and to have an input into the way council services are
delivered.
What if I don't have any knowledge or experience of the
services or issues that you are asking about?
When we consult the public, we always try to speak
to people who use the service to find out what they think about it
and to those who do not use it to find out why not. So whether you
have used a particular service or not, we are equally keen to hear
your views.
It doesn't matter whether you have lived in the borough for years,
or you have just moved to the area. We are keen to obtain the views
of as wider range of residents as possible.
