Polling Places and Polling District Review
Ashford Borough Council is reviewing the existing polling
districts and polling places.
The aim of the review is to ensure polling stations are
accessible, with particular regard to disabled people and that
electors have reasonable facilities to vote, such as safe walking
distance for electors, well-placed and clear signage, sufficient
room for both electors and staff, good lighting levels and suitable
furniture etc.
Representation and comments are invited regarding
those stations currently used and/or any suggested alternatives.
Views are invited from all electors, including anyone with
particular expertise in relation to access to premises or
facilities for those who have different forms of disability.
