State of the Borough Debate

Ashford Borough Council’s 8th State of the Borough Debate has received a resounding thumb’s up.

The new-style debate, designed to give local people a chance to quiz the council’s decision makers, was hailed a success by the leadership and opposition councillors alike.

This year, to kick start the process, the council produced an overview of some of the key services and initiatives the council and its partners had been responsible for over the past year together with the challenges for the future and asked people submit questions.

You can read the State of the Borough Debate statement from Cllr Paul Clokie, Leader of the Council online or download it.
