16+ and Ready to Vote

Did You Know?

When you turn 18 you will be eligible to vote in Parliamentary, European, and local elections?

But you can only do so once you've registered to vote with Ashford Borough Council. If you're aged 16 or 17 now is the ideal time to get on the register.

As well as ensuring you do not miss out on your fundamental right to vote at elections, registering now has other benefits.

Not being on the register could prevent you from getting a credit card, mobile phone and many other financial and retail services. So don't delay, register today.
