Biography

After six years research in nuclear physics, Cllr Taylor opted for a career with the British Council representing Britain overseas for 33 years, managing major projects in education and development, followed by six years as Visiting Senior Lecturer with Manchester Business School.

Cllr Taylor believes in strong local democracy, and in working closely with Parish Councils, where he gives priority to affordable and local needs housing. Apart from more formal committees, he chairs the Procurement Board and a group aimed at improving e-communications within the Council.

Cllr Taylor is married with four children and his hobbies include historical biography and computer games.
