Hedges

Hedges and hedgerows are an important part of the landscape and a unique aspect of our cultural heritage in the UK. Increasingly they are also a lifeline of habitat for wildlife, which uses them as corridors for movement, shelter and breeding.

Our High Hedges section gives information about how we can help deal with disputes over neighbourhood hedges.

If you have an issue with a hedge on a highway please report the problem via Kent County Council’s website.

Within this section of the website you can find more information on planting hedges, hedgerow wildlife and high hedges.
