WyeCycle

WyeCycle is a not-for-profit community business, part funded by Ashford Borough Council, that operates in the parishes of Wye and Brook.  WyeCycle helps residents reduce their kerbside waste levels by piloting schemes increasingly being used nationwide.  These have included the kerbside collection of kitchen and garden material for composting, and a fortnightly residual waste collection.

Collection of WEEE (waste electrical items), a comprehensive trade waste service for businesses, biodiesel production from old vegetable oil and encouraging the re-use of furniture are just some of a host of other schemes Wyecycle have introduced to the UK.

You can also now visit WyeCycle’s very own store – The Greenhouse in Wye where furniture comes at a low cost, financially and ethically. You could also pop along to one of their swap-shops where you can exchange your unwanted goods with other people rather than throwing them away. They take place every second Saturday at Wye Village Hall - you never know what you may find.

For more information on Wyecycle, visit the WyeCycle website.
