Join us for Ashford Farmers' Market every first Sunday of the month.
Shoppers can grab tea, coffee, cake or breakfast from one of the many street-food stalls, pick up a diverse selection of tasty treats from local traders, and watch chefs create delicious dishes using fresh produce straight from the market.
The market will have different seasonal themes throughout the year, along with chef demonstrations and street food.
Don't forget that there is free parking in Edinburgh Road car park (not NCP Park Mall).
If you enjoy cooking with seasonal produce then you'll be pleased to hear that we will be providing a tasty recipe each month using ingredients you can pick up from the Ashford Farmers' Market. The recipe is Pot Roast Guinea Foul with Purple Sprouting Broccoli; Download the recipies for Pot_roasted_guinea_fowl .[pdf] 520KB and Broccoli_quick_hollandaise [pdf] 892KB
Ashford’s Farmers’ Market manager, Rachel Heather, said: “We are giving local producers a stage on which to showcase their products to new shoppers. These events always have a great buzz about them too; they provide a unique shopping experience where you can sample goods, chat with the producers directly and enjoy the atmosphere."
The Ashford Farmers’ Market is part of the council’s drive to increase footfall in the town centre, particularly on Sundays, and to support local businesses.
And don't forget, while you're in the high street for the Farmers Market, check out the shops Ashford has to offer.
