We work with a number of partner organisations to help residents
tackle a range of problems and challenges.
These pages contain information on how you can access help and
advice on issues including debt and money management, substance
abuse, domestic violence and asylum seekers.
Dementia advice
24 Hour Dementia Helpline
The 24 hour dementia helpline offers a telephone service where the
calls are taken by trained volunteer advisors. All calls are
treated with the highest of confidentiality and callers need not
give their name if they wish.
The 24 hour dementia helpline offers to provide emotional support
and information on different services and support available about
Alzheimer's disease or about any other form of dementia.
This new 24 hour dementia helpline is a joint project between
Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services and The Alzheimer’s
Society. These two charities provide a wide range of services
across Kent, supporting people with dementia, their carers, family
and friends.

DementiaWeb Kent and
Medway
Dementia Web is a Kent and Medway website,
providing information and advice about dementia. It has details of
local support services, help and care options and can also link you
to other internet sites dealing with dementia.
It aims to empower people with dementia, their
carers, social and health care professionals by providing
information about dementia and the support and care services
available to them in Kent and Medway.
DementiaWeb is owned and managed by Guideposts
Trust, a registered charity with headquarters in Oxfordshire.
Guideposts Trust started their first DementiaWeb in 2005 in
Oxfordshire.
The DementiaWeb Kent and Medway was
created in collaboration with local partners working in the
dementia field.
