Courses and Training
There are various coach education
courses coming up for you to take advantage of, including Coaching
and the Law, A Club for All, Equity in Your Coaching and First
Aid.
- Coaching and the Law
Sport is played in a world with an increasing tendency for
litigation, under a media spotlight brighter than ever before. A
specially trained tutor delivers this comprehensive workshop and
addresses the legal aspects of coaching in a non-alarmist way
providing a wealth of practical experience.
- A Club for All
This workshop identifies the benefits of opening up your club, to
include a wider membership base - meaning more coaches, players,
officials and increased revenue, improved eligibility for lottery
funding, and quality ratings such as Clubmark; whilst ensuring the
involvement and support of the local community. The workshop
outlines how your club can benefit from reaching all members of the
community, and explains how to reach out to them - young people,
older people, those on low incomes, disabled people and people from
ethnic minorities.
- Equity in Your Coaching
Everyone should
have access to sport, regardless of gender, age, race, ability,
faith or sexual orientation. As a coach, you have an important role
to play in ensuring this happens. The workshop will help you to
apply and extend your existing skills to meet the needs of present
and potential participants.
- First Aid
This course is delivered in a sporting context, and aims to provide
attendees with the necessary skills to administer first aid in a
general and sporting environment.
We work closely with Kent County Councils
Sports
Development team in offering a variety of courses but if you
would like more information on other training please contact
Simon Harris on 01233
330232.
