Courtside is the outdoor sports facility located in South Ashford and home to Ashford Netball League. It has 6 multi-use courts, which can be used for netball, tennis, small-sided football and basketball and a pavilion which has a meeting room, with kitchen facilities and male and female changing rooms, with showers and toilets.

Courtside hosts many clubs, groups and teams, who use the centre to train and play their matches. It also holds school holiday sports camps, where children and young people can take part in a number of sporting activities with qualified coaches; these include tennis, football, cricket and basketball. The facility can also be hired by individuals or groups on a casual or contract (10 weeks or more) basis.

The facilities can be hired on a regular basis between 5.30pm and 10pm from Wednesday to Friday and at weekends between 9am and 5pm (open to negotiation). Socatots

A new term of Socatots starts in Ashford from the week beginning 7th September. Socatots is a fantastic educational play programme for pre-school children who are walking to age 4. Socatots introduces the basics of football in a fun environment using a variety of colourful equipment including skittles, domes, hoops and parachutes as well as the special Socatots ball.

Classes are held at Sandyacres Sports and Social Club during the week and at Courtside, Stanhope Road Saturday morning. For an application form please download the form below-:

Brazilian Soccer Schools

Season 2010/11 will mark the 10th year of Brazilian Soccer Schools in Ashford. Since the unique coaching concept came to Ashford in 2001 thousands of children have benefited from the coaching which places a heavy emphasis on individual technical skills, with many going on to play at high level including gaining apprenticeships with Gillingham FC. BSS Ashford sessions are open to all abilities and use the unique size 2 Futebol de Salao ball to develop skill. Beginners will learn to play the game with style whist experienced players can add considerable technical ability to their game.

Sessions catering for all age groups from Reception Year – Year 11 children, run in schools and at Pitchside/Courtside complex on Stanhope road through out the week and on Saturday mornings. For an application form please download the form below-:

Do you want to start playing netball?

Ever wanted to take up netball again? The Courtside Netball, Pay, Train and Play group has been set up with you in mind. A scheme designed to get more women aged 16 and up playing netball with relaxed and enjoyable sessions. If you haven't played at all, or maybe not since school then Pay, Train and Play are the sessions for you. Since October 2007 the sessions have contributed to the formation of 4 teams in the Ashford Netball League, 11 trainee umpires taking their test as a result of the umpiring opportunity the group offers. Others merely attend for the health and social benefits that such a group can provide. If you are wanting to come on your own or with a friend then come join us at Courtside on a Wednesday evening (2nd and 4th of each month) and see if you like it. Membership costs £2.50 (payable on the first session), and playing costs are £2.50 per session (payable each night).

Courtside's birthday parties are excellent value for money. Football, Netball, Tennis or Multisport Parties – the choice is yours! We now offer Pitchside football parties on our new 3G pitch!

Prices start at just £50 for an hour and a half @ Courtside and £60 for an hour and a half @ Pitchside which includes one hour of activity with a qualified coach and the use of the indoor party room and kitchen facilities for half an hour. You provide the food and party bags.
