Funding
Funding for sport is available through a wide range of sources,
including the National Lottery. Funding is usually linked to
developments which create or extend sport opportunities. You can
apply for funding for sports activities (such as equipment,
training or events), buildings and facilities.

Ashford Sports Club Development Fund
We have now given out all the funding for this year,
the lucky recipients were:
- Bethersden Tennis Club
- Invicta Valiants Football Club
- Kennington Cricket Club
- Pluckley Cricket Club
- Mersham Sports Club
- Bromley Green Football Club
- Bocca Juniors Football Club

County, Regional and National Funding
There are a number of county, regional, and national funding
programmes, all of which can be accessed through visiting the
Kent Sports Development Unit
website.

Case Studies
Study 1
Tenterden Cricket
Club recently were awarded funding from the Community Grants
Scheme to go towards a lawn mower to cut the outfield and wicket at
their club.
In the past the club had also received funding towards a new
pavilion. The club were recently given the Clubmark
Accreditation.
Study 2
Wye Tennis Club
recently received funding from the Community Grants scheme to
go towards refurbishing the pavilion and tennis courts.
Wye has a long and established junior and senior sections.
