Everyone's lives are getting busier and busier, so we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get involved. 'Tell Us' tenant monthly newsletter
Would you like to win £50 of shopping vouchers?
The e-newsletter is sent out at the beginning of each month and asks our residents to 'tell us' something about a couple of key subjects. Currently the newsletter is being sent to all of our involved residents who have expressed an interest in providing online feedback.
There is a quarterly draw for £50 of shopping vouchers. In order to be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is to reply to the e-newsletter - it's that simple!

The tenants panel
Ashford Tenants Panel is a group of Ashford Borough council tenants who are willing to challenge performance, monitor and scrutinise policies and procedures, and help shape the housing.
The panel is appointed using a formal interview process, and they have received training to make sure they can continue the great work of the previous panel.
The scrutiny panel
Ashford borough tenants scrutiny panel aims to:
- Challenge the policies and procedures of the housing service
- Work closely with staff and councillors to achieve service improvement
Panel members are expected to look in depth at specific parts of the housing service and make recommendations for improvement, thereby helping to shape the housing service.
All tenant scrutiny panel members receive training and support to help you develop skills and confidence in scrutiny exercises, team building and legislation changes. Not only does this provide a great social aspect and transferrable knowledge basis for you, it also helps make a real difference to the way housing services are delivered to all residents across the borough.

I found the training sessions really informative and fun, and it felt like the council were really investing in us as a panel. It's made me feel empowered to take on the role and I'm looking forward to the first review.
Tenants complaints panel
This is a pool of tenants who come together with one or two councillors to hear evidence and make decisions on the outcomes of stage three complaints' made by tenants about the housing service.
