Ska legends The Selecter announced as Create 2017 headliner! - 14th Jan

Ska legends The Selecter, led by iconic frontwoman Pauline Black, has been announced as the Create Festival headliner on the Ashford College Main Stage.

With an incredible roll call of talented musicians, co-fronted by original member Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson, The Selecter are renowned for their energetic live shows that get the crowds dancing to hits such as Three Minute Hero, Missing Words and On My Radio.

2017 is already lining up to be a big year for The Selecter with sell out headline shows, major festival appearances and a tour of Germany.

Create Festival Organiser, Chris Dixon, said: “To get such a high profile band to be part of our festival celebration is a real feat and a measure of how far the festival has come over the years.”

Following the huge success of last year’s Create’s 21st Birthday extravaganza, The Selecter will top the bill this year on Saturday 22nd July 2017, along with a packed programme of music indulgence with more than 40 local, talented bands, acts, solo performers and DJ’s performing throughout the day.

Time is running out for acts to apply to play to perform on the various stages. If you think you’ve got what it takes to entertain the crowds at Create, and would like to be in with a chance to play on Saturday 22nd July 2017, then you’re invited to apply online.

The closing date for entries is 12noon on Friday 17th February. You can apply online at: www.createfestival.co.uk
