Business Breakfast Event
Members of the
business community met last week (Thursday 8 May) to find out what
Ashford’s future holds and how they can capitalise on the
opportunities the town’s development will bring.
The event was organised and chaired by the Mayor, Cllr Rita
Hawes, and was held in the new Ashford’s Future marketing suite on
the 7th Floor of Charter House.
David Hill, Chief Executive of Ashford Borough Council, gave a
presentation on Ashford’s future, the progress being made, the
vision and how local businesses can be involved. This was followed
by a question and answer session.
Andrew Osborne, Economic Development Manager for Ashford Borough
Council, said: “We had a good turnout, which shows the interest
that the local business community has in the future plans for the
town. This is an exciting time for Ashford and we believe local
businesses have a fantastic opportunity to prosper.
“The event enabled businesses to hear about the plans for the
town, but also enable the businesses to put across their views so
that these can be taken forward in the delivery of the growth of
the town.”
