Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 70 of the above Act that the Ashford Borough Council has determined that the maximum fees specified and currently charged under Section 70(2) of that Act for Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licences, Private Hire Vehicle Licences and Private Hire Operators Licences should be varied as follows:-

Anyone wishing to object to the proposed fee should lodge their objection, in writing, at the office of the Environmental Services Manager by not later than 31^st March 2011 quoting Reference: HC&PH Fees/EH44/JH1.

If no objection to the proposed fees is made within the period specified above, or if all objections so made are withdrawn, the increased fees will come into operation on the 1st April 2011 or the date of withdrawal of the objection or, if more than one, of the last objection, whichever date is the later.

If objection is made and not withdrawn, the Council will set a further date, not later than two months after the first specified date, on which the increased fees will come into force with or without modification as decided by them after consideration of the objections.

In pursuance of Section 70(3)(b) of the above Act a copy of this Notice has been deposited at the office of the Environmental Services Manager and will be available for inspection, without payment, during normal office hours for a period of 28 days from the date of publication.
