Submitting an Application

Submitting Applications Online

Applications can be submitted online via the Planning Portal website by completing the following steps:

  • Register and login to the Planning Portal
  • Create a new proposal
  • Complete the online form
  • Buy a site location plan and mark your site electronically
  • Attach associated supporting information including detailed drawings, design and access statement and photographs (see our Is Your Application Valid? webpage for more information about what you must include)
  • Calculate and pay a fee
  • Click submit

Sending Paper Applications

Select, download and print the appropriate forms from the Application Forms and Guidance webpage or collect them from the Council offices

  • Complete the appropriate forms
  • Put the form, the validation checklist and any additional information into an envelope - see our Is Your Application Valid? webpage for more information about what you must include
  • Cheque or postal order made payable to Ashford Borough Council
  • Post it to: Planning and Development, Ashford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Tannery Lane, Ashford TN23 1PL
