Building Control Seminars and EventsBuilding Regulations ensure the health and safety of people in and around buildings by providing functional requirements for building design and construction. They also make sure that the requirements of people with disabilities are met.

 

Builders and Developers are required by law to obtain Building Control Approval - to ensure that the Building Regulations have been complied with.

 

Our Building Control team is committed to protecting residents and the environment Architecture and Constructionby providing high quality customer focused services that ensure building projects comply with Building Regulations.

 

As well as enforcing building legislation our Building Control Team also provides additional services including:

 

You should contact both Building Control and Planning when considering any development to ensure compliance under both disciplines.

 

On many developments Building Control Officers and Planning Officers co-operate closely by employing the principles of a Development Team Approach (DTA). This brings together all local authority regulatory agencies, which affect the development process in order to provide a co-ordinated approach from conception to completion.
