Site Inspections
Site inspections are required at a number of different stages
which follow the general construction process.
Building work will need to be inspected at the following
stages:
- Commencement
- Excavation of foundations and/or Ttial Holes
- Oversite (the hardcore materials before oversite concrete is
laid)
- Drains in place prior to backfilling
- Drains backfilled and placed on test ready for inspection
- Occupation
- Completion
Additional inspections are also undertaken dependent upon the
scale and complexity of the building work proposed. These may
include, but are not restricted to:
- First floor level
- Roof construction
- Sound insulation
- Thermal insulation to walls, ashlars and first floors
- Roof insulation
- Structural beams and frames
- Fire protection to walls, floors and beams

Inspection requests made by 10am will be carried out on the same
day. If you require a timed visit then you are advised to speak to
the surveyor directly.
