Site Inspections
Site inspections are required at a number of different stages
which follow the general construction process.
Building work will need to be inspected at the following
stages:
- Commencement
- Excavation of Foundations and/or Trial Holes
- Oversite (the hardcore materials before oversite concrete is
laid)
- Drains in place prior to backfilling
- Drains backfilled and placed on test ready for inspection
- Occupation
- Completion
Additional inspections are also undertaken dependent upon the
scale and complexity of the building work proposed. These include,
but are not restricted to:
- First Floor Level
- Roof Construction
- Sound Insulation
- Thermal Insulation to walls/ashlars and first floors where
relevant
- Roof Insulation
- Structural Beams/Frames
- Fire Protection to walls, floors and beams where relevant
