Site inspections are required at a number of different stages which follow the general construction process.

Building work will need to be inspected at the following stages:

• Commencement
• Excavation of Foundations and/or Trial Holes 
• Oversite (the hardcore materials before oversite concrete is laid)
• Drains in place prior to backfilling
• Drains backfilled and placed on test ready for inspection
• Occupation
• Completion

Additional inspections are also undertaken dependent upon the scale and complexity of the building work proposed. These include, but are not restricted to:

• First Floor Level
• Roof Construction
• Sound Insulation
• Thermal Insulation to walls/ashlars and first floors where relevant
• Roof Insulation
• Structural Beams/Frames
• Fire Protection to walls, floors and beams where relevant

Inspection requests made by 10am will be carried out on the same day. If you require a timed visit then you are advised to speak to the surveyor directly.
