Residential Space & Layout SPD
The Residential Space and Layout Supplementary Planning
Document (SPD) sets out in detail the Council’s minimum standards
for living space and layout for both privately and publicly
funded residential developments in order to comply with Policy CS9
(Design Quality) of the Core Strategy. The quality of life of
residents is very important and the Council must ensure that all
new residential developments provide an adequate living space.
The draft Residential Space and Layout SPD
was subject to a period of six weeks public consultation from
Monday 14th February 2011 until Monday 28th March 2011. All
comments made, can be viewed in the
Councils Consultation Portal.
The final document was adopted by the Council on Thursday
20th October 2011 and is available to view and download
