Singleton Environment Centre
Singleton Environment Centre (SEC) is a sustainable venue owned by Ashford Borough Council and operated by a community volunteering charity, The Conservation Volunteers (TCV). Built and operated with minimal effect on the environment, the centre opened in 2008 as a partnership project between Ashford Borough Council and TCV.
The centre is situated in a tranquil setting adjoining 15 hectares of woodland with stunning views and thriving wildlife, and is located three miles from the town centre and Ashford International train station.
Singleton Environment Centre has been built adjoining the Ashford Community Woodland; a green space designed and managed by the local community, and now with Local Nature Reserve designation.
The centre has bright and airy rooms for meetings, training or events, family celebrations and community events which support the centre’s running costs.
Visitors can meander around the green spaces and visit the cafe serving fair trade, organic and homemade produce, Tuesday to Sundays.
Please visit the TCV website for details of opening times and forthcoming activities.
